Full-Time RVN Required for Maternity cover starting November 2017

We are looking for a RVN to join our friendly team for a period of approximately 9 months from November covering maternity leave. You will be working 38 hours a week with no OOH and some Saturday mornings (8am - 12 noon).

We are an independent small animal, single vet practice with two branches within Milton Keynes. Our main practice in Stantonbury Fields is purpose built with 3 consult rooms, separate cat and dog kennels, prep room, operating theatre and x-ray room. We have a fully equipped lab, digital radiography, ultrasound and dental equipment. In addition we have recently purchased an MLS Class 4 Laser. Our branch practice at Oxley Park offers consultations only with all procedures being referred to Stantonbury Fields. Our nurses run a range of nursing clinics at both branches including Laser Therapy as well as the more usual Weight, Dental, Flea/Worm, Adolescent & Senior clinics.

You would be part of a team consisting of 2.5 RVN's and 2 SVN's. As we are a training practice you would need to be happy to help support and train our student nurses but a clinical coach qualification is not essential. The role will involve all aspects of nursing care as well as reception work. Nurses currently work a combination of the following shift patterns 8-7, 8-5, 9-6, 10-7, 8-2 or 1-7 each week. The rota can be negotiated to allow for prior commitments but will include at least one day a week sole charge at our branch in Oxley Park.

To apply please send a cover letter and CV to our Head Nurse Sarah Shipley This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Alternatively for an informal chat or to find out more please call 01908 321115.
