Still spreading the cost of routine pet healthcare.........
We have a simplified range of Health Plans for both young and adult pets to help you keep spreading the cost of routine care of your pet. These plans spread the cost of routine vaccination and internal and external parasite control for your pet, but also allow you to benefit from discounts on other routine, non urgent procedures, such as neutering and dental care, many non-routine procedures and discounts on pet food bought over the counter at our surgeries. They are, as before, essentially discount schemes to help with routine pet care and are not an insurance scheme or a substitute for one.
We have removed the distinction between puppy and kitten, and senior Plans and their adult animal counterparts. We have found that although the different pet life stages do have different requirements, they are unique to the particular life stage so financially they more or less even out in the end. Consequently there is little need for separate adult, senior and young pet versions. They just complicate things..
These Plans are not available through our on line shop, - yet, but can be arranged over the phone or at the reception desk at our surgeries. They enable us to take payments via Direct Debit rather than via Worldpay. This is a much simpler method of payment for you,the client, and is simpler for us to administer. We do, however, hope to be able to offer an on line sign up facility soon. It also means hat we can seamlessly roll your plan into a new one the following year (unless you cancel) without you having to set up a new payment vehicle annually. Don't worry, we will give you ample warning approaching the end of your Plan year, and a direct debit is much easier to cancel than a Worldpay agreement!
Canine Health Plans are divided according to your pet's weight or in the case of puppies, their expected adult weight. It is still important to select the correct Health Plan as flea and worm dosing schedules are based on your dog's weight and under dosing will not achieve the desired level of control. If you are in any doubt, why not make an appointment with one of our nurses at a weight clinic and have your pet weighed free!
Health Plans still include :
- A thorough Veterinary Health Check at presentation for vaccinations
- Routine (or in puppies and kittens Primary) Vaccination, including Kennel Cough for dogs
- Flea and worming treatments sufficient for the 12 months of the plan
- 3 monthly health checks with a nurse
- Free nurse appointments for nail clips, anal glands and minor grooming (ie 10-15mins max)
- 20% off non-prescription diets bought at reception for the pet for which the plan was taken out.
- 10% off routine and many non-routine procedures
If you are currently on one of our health plans we will contact you near the renewal date to transfer to the appropriate New Health Plan.
